Message from the Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and ASEAN

After my first weeks in Indonesia—discovering its energy, warmth and diversity—I am delighted to introduce myself to the SwissCham Indonesia community.

I have been impressed by the depth and dynamism of the relationship between Switzerland and Indonesia. Our two countries share a long-standing partnership, and the business community is an important part of that story. Swiss companies contribute not only through investment and trade, but also through innovation, expertise, skills development and long-term engagement.

SwissCham Indonesia plays a valuable role in bringing the Swiss business community together and fostering dialogue, exchange and cooperation. I have already had the pleasure of meeting some of its members and look forward to connecting with many more, learning about their activities and hearing more about the opportunities they see for expanding Swiss–Indonesian business relations.

As Ambassador, I hope to foster an open and constructive relationship between the Embassy, SwissCham and the wider Swiss business community, while supporting deeper collaboration and new opportunities between our two countries.

I would like to thank SwissCham Indonesia, its Board and its members for their commitment and warm welcome. I very much look forward to working together and to contributing to the next chapter of the Swiss–Indonesian partnership.
