Perkumpulan SwissCham (SwissCham Indonesia) is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable, and Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022).
SwissCham Indonesia does not currently appoint a dedicated Data Protection Officer. Any privacy-related inquiries may be directed to the SwissCham Indonesia Secretariat.
Personal Data Collection
SwissCham Indonesia may collect and process any personal information that you provide to us through your interactions with the Chamber. This includes, but is not limited to, information submitted through membership applications, event registrations, newsletter subscriptions, contact forms, business inquiries, surveys, networking activities, direct communications, and any other services or activities organized by SwissCham Indonesia.
We collect and process such information solely for legitimate business, administrative, communication, networking, event management, membership, legal, and operational purposes as described in this Privacy Policy. We only process personal data that is relevant, adequate, and necessary for these purposes.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on our website, we collect the data shown in the comments form together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to assist with spam detection and website security. An anonymized string generated from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use that service. The Gravatar Privacy Policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if available through Gravatar) may be visible publicly alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to our website, we recommend removing embedded location information (EXIF GPS data) before uploading. Visitors to the website may be able to download images and extract any embedded location information. Photographs and videos taken during SwissCham Indonesia events may be used for communication, promotional, reporting, and archival purposes, including publication on the SwissCham Indonesia website, LinkedIn, Instagram, Newsletters, Annual Reports, and other official SwissCham Indonesia communication channels.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These external websites may collect personal data, use cookies, employ additional third-party tracking technologies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, particularly if you are logged into those services.

Who we share your data with
Your personal data is shared only where necessary and only for legitimate business or legal purposes. SwissCham Indonesia does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. If you request a password reset for your website account, your IP address may be included in the password reset email for security purposes.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
SwissCham Indonesia processes and stores personal data in Indonesia. Personal data is not routinely transferred outside Indonesia unless required by law or necessary for a specific activity with your prior knowledge or consent. Visitor comments may be checked through automated spam detection services to protect the website against spam and malicious activity.
