As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, SGS in Indonesia secured funding from SGS Global Training to deliver skills development programs for local communities in East Java.
In collaboration with BLK Kota Probolinggo and BLK Kabupaten Lamongan, the program provided local job seekers with accessible training in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) practices and basic industrial skills.
Delivered through three training batches across Probolinggo and Lamongan, participants gained practical knowledge in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001), 5S workplace organization principles, and basic soft skills to support employability and workforce readiness.
The successful completion of the program reflects SGS in Indonesia’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities through education, skills development, and collaboration with vocational training institutions to help build a safer, more skilled, and more employable workforce.
