As a leading strategic service platform group aimed to strengthening a bilateral relationship between Switzerland and Indonesia, SwissCham Indonesia today introduces its first Policy Paper titled Advancing Indonesia 4.0, to support the Government of Indonesia materializing its vision to create Indonesia 4.0 through industry revitalization and policy reforms to realize a conducive economic and investment climate.

SwissCham Indonesia presented the Policy Paper to Mr. Septian Hario Seto, Deputy ad Interim of Investment and Mining Coordination to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs & Investment. The meeting was positive and Mr. Septian Hario Seto will be the keynote speaker for our Public Forum on Thursday, 27 February 2020.

This morning, our Chairman, Mr Luthfi Mardiansyah presented the SwissCham Indonesia’s Policy Paper to Mr. Wisnu Wijaya Soedibjo, BKPM’s Deputy Chairman for Investment Cooperation.

The Policy Paper was received with enthusiasm for a greater collaboration between Switzerland and Indonesia. In this opportunity, the Chairman also conveyed the invitation to Mr. Bahlil Lahadalia, Chairman of BKPM to be our key speaker at SwissCham Indonesia Public Forum that will be held on February 27, 2020.

Visit by H.E. Kurt Kunz, Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia, Timor-Leste and ASEAN to Medan was welcomed by Acting Mayor of Medan, Mr. Akhyar Nasution MSi. The visit was accompanied by 11 Swiss company representatives. During the visit Mr. Luthfi Mardiansyah, Chairman of SwissCham Indonesia, presented the SwissCham Indonesia Policy Paper to Mr. Akhyar Nasution MSi. The next day was followed by a successful I-EFTA CEPA dissemination with around 100 participants including business players, government institutions and academicians.

This morning, SwissCham Indonesia handed over our Policy Paper to the Minister of Cooperatives & SMEs, Mr. Teten Masduki. We were accepted well and the Minister mentioned about several potential collaborations with Swiss Ecosystem.

Chairman of SwissCham Indonesia, Mr. Luthfi Mardiansyah, has shared the Policy Paper to Special Staff of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Daniel Tjen.

SwissCham Indonesia officially introduced our Policy Paper to Dr. Moeldoko, President Joko Widodo’s Chief of Staff. The Policy Paper offers recommendations for areas of collaboration between the Government of Indonesia and the private sector to realise the President’s vision.

SwissCham Indonesia is once again proving its active engagement in Swiss and Indonesian business relationships.  We represented our members in the Business Forum in Zurich, Switzerland, organised by the Indonesian Embassy to Switzerland.  Welcoming the delegates was the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland, H.E. Prof. Dr. Muliaman D. Hadad.

One of our members, SGS, is pleased to share that it has supported the certification of the systems and processes of Jakarta Government’s Centre of Integrated Services for Women and Children. The Centre provides counselling services among others to women and children victims of violence in Jakarta, Indonesia.
