Jakarta, 24 October 2026 – SwissCham Indonesia successfully hosted the SwissCham Padel Cup 2026, bringing together 78 players and 100 guests for a day of friendly competition, meaningful connections, and community engagement.
More than just a sporting event, the tournament provided an opportunity for SwissCham members, representatives from fellow chambers of commerce, government institutions, and business partners to connect in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
While business networking remains an important part of SwissCham’s activities, the Padel Cup demonstrated that building strong professional relationships does not always have to take place in meeting rooms or formal business settings. Shared experiences, teamwork, and friendly competition can be equally valuable in bringing people together and strengthening relationships.
Strengthening Connections Beyond Business
Under the theme “Sport • Connections • Community,” the tournament reflected SwissCham Indonesia’s commitment to fostering a connected and engaged business community.
Throughout the day, participants enjoyed competitive yet friendly matches, exchanged experiences, and developed new friendships with fellow members and representatives from other chambers.
The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration across different business communities, creating opportunities for individuals and organisations to connect beyond their usual professional networks.
Distinguished Guests and Institutional Participation
SwissCham Indonesia was particularly honoured to welcome H.E. Mr. Konstantin Obolensky, Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia, Timor-Leste and ASEAN, and Mr. Mathias Domenig, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in Indonesia, who actively participated in the tournament.
Their presence and participation added a special dimension to the event, reflecting the close relationship between the Swiss business community and the Embassy of Switzerland.
The tournament also welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM, KADIN Indonesia, and fellow chambers of commerce, further strengthening connections between the business community, government institutions, and international business networks.
Their participation reinforced the spirit of collaboration and friendship that SwissCham Indonesia seeks to promote through its activities.
A Day of Sport and Community Spirit
With 78 players taking part in the tournament and 100 guests joining the gathering, the SwissCham Padel Cup 2026 created an engaging environment for both experienced players and newcomers to the sport.
Beyond the exciting matches, the tournament offered opportunities for participants to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people, and enjoy an informal gathering outside their regular business activities.
The enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and positive energy of all participants contributed to a memorable event, demonstrating how sport can serve as a platform for bringing different communities together.
SwissCham Indonesia also extends its congratulations to all tournament winners and participants for their enthusiasm and sporting spirit.
